Seminar with Engin Sustam, Visiting Lecturer at the University Paris 8 Saint-Denis, as part of the programs Pause and Education sciences open to all in spring 2018
How the spaces of revolt, insurrection, resistance on a global scale reveal a new subversive and creative subjectivity and micropolitics of emancipation in the making ? The Kurdish Movement and the Revolution of Rojava, the Green Movement, Arab Springs and Movement of the Places, Tahrir Square, Gezi Park, Nuit Debout, Syntagma Square, Maidan Square, the Chiapas Movement, the Vinegar Revolt in Brazil, etc.
We will examine these spaces of emancipation in two steps:
1. Spaces for insurrection and transformations of society,
2. Creativity of alternative pedagogies in these spaces.
The seminar follows a transdisciplinary approach, combining approaches from the sciences of education, sociology, political philosophy and art.
We will problematize how the spaces of revolt, insurrection, resistance, call and generate knowledge of emancipation, and how "alternative, self–managed" educational dispositives are implemented in these spaces, in front of the hegemonic construction of the institutional apparatus / state, such as the University of Rojava, the Solidarity Academies in Turkey, the Zapatista Escualita, etc. It is a question, at first, of questioning the creation of new knowledge of emancipation by the actors of these spaces. In a second step, it is important to understand how these spaces encourage the creativity of "alternative" pedagogies in society.
Alternative pedagogies help broaden the boundaries of counter–knowledge action, sharing between societies, and between teachers and students.
We are witnessing throughout the world a flush of action against the monetary, military, patriarchal and authoritarian system. A comparison of the times and spaces of emancipation and their various factors will enable microsociological analyzes of the languages of alternativity.
