Room D-143 (Building D, 1st floor)
At the invitation of the Department of Philosophy, the Laboratory of studies and research on Contemporary Logics of Philosophy, and the Interuniversity Center Experience Cultural Ressources Education in Paris 8 University
This day, under the sign of a benjaminian stop of clocks across the borders, want to bring together young and confirmed researchers, PhD students, artists, writers and translators, etc. in a process of inter- and transdisciplinary approach of researches born at the crossings of different internationalities. These researches invest localities and historicities produced by exile and displacement. They address the multiple legacies, the dissonances there are from which to create more livable worlds, and convey commitments and stakes.
In particular, they confront the contradictions of a world saturated with these borders, they want to bring thinkings of the reversal of inequalities, and inspire other ways of connecting to politics.
The first part of the day will be devoted to the presentation of ongoing projects both in dimensions of realization and reflection (analysis, art, translations, terrains) among the interlocutors of the 'Transglobal studies collective' presents in Paris, then, the second part in the afternoon, to current readings of W. Benjamin, with in particular an invitation to Michael Löwy which a book has just been published on this subject (La révolution est le frein de l'urgence, L'éclat editions).
